Philippiamra
Philippiamra Kuntze annotated as 'nom. illeg. superfl.' in TROPICOS database.
Silvaea
Kuntze proposed Philippiamra in 1891 to replace Silvaea Phil. 1860, which he considered to be a later homonym of Silvia Benth. 1846 (acutally a latter homonym of Silvia Vell. 1825). Since Silvia is no longer in use, Silvaea should be not treated as its homonym; thus Philippiamra becomes a superfluous name. See Brummitt RK (1993) Report of the Committee for Spermatophyta: 38, Taxon 42: 697.
