Diplotheca -> Volkanus
The choanoflagellate Diplotheca Valkanov, 1970 Zool. Anz. 184: 272 (type species Diplotheca costata Valkanov, 1970) is preoccupied by the mollusc Diplotheca Matthew, 1885. Canad. Record. Sci., 1: 149, 1885. Type species: Diplotheca acadica Matthew, 1885. The choanoflagellate Diplotheca has been renamed Volkanus (Oezdikmen, H. 2009. Substitute names for unicellular animal taxa (Protozoa). Mun. Ent. Zool. 4).
