Serratio rubidaea = Serratia marinorubra
S. rubidaea and S. marinorubra are homotypic synonyms. However, the type strain for S. marinorubra is incorrect as given on the approved lists (Skerman et al. 1980, Brenner 1984, Grimont & Grimont 1984). Grimont & Grimont (1984) propose that S. rubidaea continue to be used to represent the same (Serratia rubidae-Serratia marinorubra) taxon. This proposal has not yet been validly published.
