Bacterial strains isolated from water samples of Kolumbo submarine volcano from different depths. Isolation of bacterial species was carried out on four surface (5, 20, 45 and 90 m) and two deep (430 and 495 m) seawater samples. For this purpose, four replicates (50 mL) from each depth were placed into sterile tubes and preserved at +4 C. Aliquots (100 L) from each replicate were plated onto sterile Petri dishes containing marine agar 2216.
