Nif3-like dinuclear metal center hexameric protein
PMID:23825549 (2013) identifies HP0959 from Helicobacter pylori as a new type of GTP cyclohydrolase I. Other well-studied members of this family include YbgI from E. coli, SA1388 from Staphylococcus aureus, and MJ0927 from Methanocaldococcus jannaschii. Note that HP0959 showed activity only at low pH, and that HP0928 from the same organism is a member of family TIGR00063, GTP cyclohydrolase I type 1 (FolE).
