pectate lyase-like adhesive domain-containing protein
This putative domain is found at the N-terminus of a large number of bacterial proteins. Its adhesive function was described in Lactobacillus reuteri serine-rich repeat proteins [1]. Structure predictions show it is composed of a beta solenoid repeat related to Pectate lyase. [1]. 29507249. WxL domain-containing protein
The WxL motif appears in two or three copies in these bacterial proteins [1] and confers a cell surface localisation function. It seems likely that this region is the cell wall-binding domain of gram-positive bacteria, and may interact with the peptidoglycan [2]. [1]. 16723015.
