ERX141801: Whole Genome Sequencing of Pseudomonas aeruginosa CHA

Study: Genomic diversity of Pseudomonas aeruginosa clone CHA variants from different origins
show Abstracthide Abstract
The Pseudomonas aeruginosa cystic fibrosis isolate CHA is able to induce oncosis on macrophages by a type III secretion system–dependent “pack swarming” process. Phenotypically as well as regarding the genome content, this virulent isolate differs significantly from other members of the same clonal lineage. We performed genome sequencing of strain CHA and its clonal variants 491, a CF-isolate from different origin, and PT22, an environmental isolate, in order to determine the intraclonal diversity among the clone CHA strains and contrast it with the diversity observed within independent isolates from another clonal lineage.
Sample: Pseudomonas aeruginosa CHA, cystic fibrosis isolate
