Three strains of fungi-associated Burkholderiales bacteria with antagonistic activity against Gram-negative plant pathogens were genome sequenced to clarify their taxonomic placement and potential for antimicrobial specialized metabolite biosynthesis. The strains were identified as novel genomic taxa belonging to the genus Paraburkholderia and encoded multiple antibiotic biosynthesis gene clusters.
