SRX16741031: RNA sequencing of Streptococcus suis
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina NovaSeq 6000) run: 25.2M spots, 7.6G bases, 2.3Gb downloads

Design: RNA was isolated using the miRNeasy kit (Qiagen). Trace DNA was digested using the DNase Max Kit (Qiagen). Library preparation with Illumina Stranded Total RNA Prep kit. rRNA was enzymatically depleted and the remaining RNA fragmented and translated to cDNA.

Study: Streptococcus suis transcriptome strain comparison
show Abstracthide Abstract
Streptococcus suis is a diverse species with high strain diversity, and can be grouped into multiple clades with commensal and pathogenic niches. In this study we investigate the species-wide S. suis transcriptome by sequencing a diverse set of strains grown to the mid exponential phase in active porcine serum (APS) and Todd-Hewitt Broth with yeast extract (THY). All samples were processed and sequenced together.
