SRX2989523: Whole Genome Sequencing of Bacillus anthracis: CDC culture collection
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina Genome Analyzer IIx) run: 1.6M spots, 328.4M bases, 197.9Mb downloads

Design: whole genome sequencing performed on an Illumina GAIIx using TruSeq chemistry
Submitted by: Georgia Institute of Technology
Study: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Bacillus anthracis whole genome sequencing
show Abstracthide Abstract
This project is an effort to begin whole genome sequencing and comparative analyses of B. anthracis strains in the CDC culture collection. Initial strains have been selected to represent the genetic diversity of B. anthracis and focus on strains unique to the CDC collection. When combined with data from other domestic and international researchers, these sequences will be crucial for improving molecular epidemiology in support of anthrax cases and outbreaks.
Sample: B. anthracis strain from CDC culture collection
