Study: Bacillus anthracis, strain A0149 genome sequencing
show Abstracthide Abstract
A0149 was one of two isolates from the Trans-Eurasian (TEA) group of the Bacillus anthracis phylogeny which were whole-genome sequenced. Its sequence was compared to that of Ba4599 (from a Scottish heroin user outbreak in 2009) to determine the likely origin of the anthrax spores causing the outbreak.
Sample: Pathogen: clinical or host-associated sample from Bacillus anthracis, strain A0149
