Campylobacter jejuni (C. jejuni) is one of the most frequent causes of bacterial gastroenteritis with watery to bloody diarrhea in humans worldwide. Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) is the most common post-infectious sequel of C. jejuni infection. Only 1 in 1000 C. jejuni infected enteritis patients develop GBS. Genome profiling of C. jejuni strains isolated from fecal samples of GBS patients in Bangladesh may provide a new insight in the parthenogenesis of GBS development
Sample: Whole genome sequence of Campylobacter jejuni BD94 isolated from patient with GBS in icddr,b, Dhaka, Bangladesh
