SRX5412015: WGS of P. aeruginosa ipcd1364
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina MiSeq) run: 426,750 spots, 239.9M bases, 135.6Mb downloads

Design: Genomic DNA (250-750 ng) was mechanically fragmented for 40 seconds using a Covaris M220 (Covaris, Woburn MA, USA) with default settings. Fragmented DNA was transferred to a PCR tube and library synthesis was performed with the NEBNext Ultra II DNA library prep kit for Illumina (New England Biolabs, Ipswich MA, USA) according to manufacturers instructions. TruSeq HT adapters (Illumina, SanDiego CA, USA) were used to barcode the libraries, which were each sequenced in 1/48 of an Illumina MiSeq 300 bp paired-end run at the Plateforme dAnalyses Gnomiques of the Institut de Biologie Intgrative et des Systmes (IBIS, Universit Laval, Quebec, Canada)

Study: International Pseudomonas aeruginosa Consortium (IPC) genome sequencing project
show Abstracthide Abstract
The International Pseudomonas aeruginosa Consortium is sequencing over 1000 genomes for the study of Pseudomonas genome evolution, antibiotic resistance and virulence genes. Metadata for each isolate are available through the International Pseudomonas Consortium Database (IPCD). The ultimate goal of the project is to link bacterial phenotype, genotype and clinical data, with a focus on the development of prognostic approaches to treating Cystic Fibrosis infections.
