Consistent with the diversity of probiotic functions, complete genome sequencing analysis revealed the genomic diversity. To gain a better insight into the beneficial effects on gut health in piglets, the complete genome of L. johnsonii ZLJ010 was sequenced. This strain is a potential probiotic that promotes gut health and defense against Escherial coli infection in pigs.
